About the internship
Firmelist builds websites, web applications and software products for businesses across industries. As a Next.js Developer Intern, you will join our engineering team and help build user interfaces with Next.js and React — from components and pages to data fetching, forms and performance improvements.
You will learn how a professional team plans work, reviews code and ships features, and you will take on more responsibility as your skills grow.
Part of the team from day one
Your internship is an opportunity to contribute, not just observe. You’ll work with your respective team, learn professional workflows, use role-relevant tools and take on responsibilities appropriate to your skills and experience.
What you’ll do
- Build reusable React components and pages in Next.js using the App Router
- Turn designs into responsive, accessible interfaces with Tailwind CSS
- Connect front ends to REST APIs and handle loading, error and empty states
- Use server and client components, routing and data fetching appropriately
- Improve page speed and Core Web Vitals on the pages you work on
- Write clean, typed code with TypeScript and keep it in Git with clear commits
- Take part in code reviews, stand-ups and planning with the team
